Loved this place - great food, service, and such a beautiful restaurant/garden. We had beer, sausages and potatoes, elderflower water, and of course, gelato! I wish I lived in Bressanone so I could visit this place regularly.

An amazing „Buschenschank“ we are visiting since a few years every time we pass by. The service is very friendly, the food is local, fresh an overwhelming tasty. In addition to that they have their own Gelateria 🍦 AND their own Brewery. The Weißbier and the Helles are absolutely well done and can compete with the best of the German beers without any problem. Parking is for free and you can sit outside in the cozy garden. They also offer beer tastings. After enjoying all of their offers you can start a nice hike in the area around

was driving through the area and stopping into Hubenbauer was an fantastic surprise, wish we could have gone back for more. The beer selection was wide and offered many different, well crafted options. I wish the smokey IPA was on tap to try with the flight, that way I would have purchased more than 1 to-go (it was delicious and unlike so many other beers out there right now). The food was also very good, the sour tripe soup was perfect for a cold day and speck raviolis were delicate and delicious. Reading about their approach in terms of sourcing (the pork and grains locally), we really became impressed and hope them well in their endeavors.
We came earlier than normal dinner time as we were driving to Austria. Despite the odd time, we were able to have an outstanding meal. The Kürbissuppe and the Knödel were amazing. The Käseknödel was the best I've ever had! We had very good gelato after our meal and bought some local potatoes to take home. The atmosphere inside is very cool, you sit in the old cellar and there is also a terrace outside in good weather. Highly recommend! Reservations are clearly needed on weekends.
